There are five types of speed dials in the Voicenter switchboard:

Speed dialing an extension/phone number

Speed dial for hijacking from standby circuit

Speed dial for menu reference in the call IVR

Speed dial to voicemail

Speed dial to an announcement group

Speed dial table

The speed dial table shows all the speed dials in the account.

Below is a breakdown of the columns in the speed dial table:

Username The user to which the speed dial is associated

Name Name for speed dial

Destination Type Represents the speed dial type (one of the five types)

Destination The destination to which the speed dial refers (name of extension, phone number, name of Queue, etc.)

Speed dial number The number that must be dialed to perform the speed dial

Speed dial type Organizational range - allows all users in the organization to use the defined speed dial

Personal range - allows the use of the speed dial only for the user to whom the defined speed dial is associated

Edit A button to edit the speed dial settings

Delete A button to delete the speed dial (it is not possible to restore a deleted speed dial)

Setting a speed dial range

Two types of speed dial ranges can be defined:

Organizational range - Speed dials defined in this range can be used by any user in the organization.

Personal range - speed dials defined in this range can only be used by the user to whom the speed dial belongs. For example - Uri set a speed dial in a private dialing range for his partner's phone, only he from his private extension will be able to use this speed dial.

Defining an organizational range:

1. Click on edit organizational range for speed dials.

2. Select the account for which the range is associated (in order to define one range for the entire organization, the range must be defined from the main account and not from a subaccount).

3. Choose a number for the beginning of the organizational range.

4. Choose the number of the end of the organizational range (in order to allow the use of a personal range, numbers must be left outside the organizational range. That is, do not define an organizational range from the minimum to the maximum number).

5. Click Save to finish.

Important: the personal range is all the numbers that were not included in the organizational range.

Adding a speed dial to an extension/phone number

1. Click on the "+" button next to the heading Speed Dial.

2. Tick the extension/phone number option.

3.Choose a name for the new speed dial.

4. Select the speed dial number from the list of available numbers.

5. Choose whether to add the number to the phone's indicator buttons (the phone's indicator buttons will be set automatically with the first speed dials set).

6. Choose whether the speed dial is for an internal extension in the organization or an external phone number.

7. Choose the name of the extension or enter the number.

8. Click Save to finish.

Added speed dialing for hijacking from Queue

A Queue must be set before setting

Speed dial.

1. Click on the "+" button next to the heading Speed Dial.

2. Mark Abbreviated dialing for the standby circuit.

3. Choose a name for the new speed dial.

4. Select the speed dial number from the list of available numbers.

5. Choose whether to add the number to the phone's indicator buttons (the phone's indicator buttons will be set automatically with the first speed dials set).

6. Select a queue from which you would like to enable call hijacking using the speed dial.

7. Click Save to finish.

Adding speed dial to the call IVR menu

A menu must be set up in the IVR before setting up the speed dial.

1. Click on the "+" button next to the heading Speed Dial.

2. Check the menu in the call IVR.

3. Choose a name for the new speed dial.

4. Select the speed dial number from the list of available numbers.

5. Choose whether to add the number to the phone's indicator buttons (the phone's indicator buttons will be set automatically with the first speed dials set).

6. Select a menu in the call IVR to which it will be possible to call or to which calls will be directed using the speed dial.

7. Click Save to finish.

Voicemail must be set according to the speed dial setting.

1. Click on the "+" button next to the heading Speed Dial.

2. Mark the voicemail.

3. Choose a name for the new speed dial.

4. Select the speed dial number from the list of available numbers.

5. Choose whether to add the number to the phone's indicator buttons (the phone's indicator buttons will be set automatically with the first speed dials set).

6. Select the voicemail to which you can call or to which calls will be directed using the speed dial.

7. Click Save to finish.

Quick dialing to the intercom allows you to perform an "announcement" operation, by dialing one extension or a group of extensions (simultaneously) and activating an automatic answer in speaker mode on the receiving end of the call (make sure the device to which the dialing is supported supports this setting).

1. Click on the "+" button next to the heading Speed Dial.

2. Highlight Intercom (announcement).

3. Choose a name for the new speed dial.

4. Select the speed dial number from the list of available numbers.

5. Choose whether to add the number to the phone's indicator buttons (the phone's indicator buttons will be set automatically with the first speed dials set).

6. Select the announcement group that will be able to be called using the speed dial (see definition of announcement groups below)

7. Choose whether to allow the recipients to hear each other - and thus create a forced conference call.

8. Choose whether to play a recording at the beginning of the conversation - the recording must be added from the "System Recordings" page.

9. Choose whether to call group members who are in the conversation and how long to wait for an answer (waiting for an answer is only relevant when dialing one destination).

10. Click Save to finish.

Creating an announcement group

1. Click on the "+" button next to the heading Speed Dial.

2. Highlight Intercom (announcement).

3. Click on add/edit announcement groups.

4. Click on add announcement group.

5. Name the group.

6. Select the extensions where the announcement will be made (several extensions can be selected at once).

7. Click on Add to add the extensions to the group.

9. Click Save to finish and save.

Editing an announcement group

1. Click on the "+" button next to the heading Speed Dial.

2. Highlight Intercom (announcement).

3. Click on add/edit announcement groups.

4. Click on the group to be edited.

5. Rename and remove/add extensions.

6. Click Save to finish and save.

2. Highlight Intercom (announcement).

3. Click on add/edit announcement groups.

4. Click on the group to be removed.

5. Click on delete group (the group is deleted immediately).

6. Click Save to finish.
